"DeepSoar" is an innovative project aimed at enabling a UAV to autonomously perform targeted deep stall landings. The project leverages breakthrough biomimicry techniques for precise estimation of air speed and angle of attack, even at high alpha. Current methods for deep stall landing often struggle with such estimations. "DeepSoar" overcomes this with an advanced sensor system paired with a neural network. The system uses a distributed array of pressure sensors to measure and predict cadence for a controlled, targeted deep stall landing.
